Check charging at the battery while at an idle.Should be showing around 14-14.5 volts. If it's not check the regulator connectors up by the radiator. The funky slide connector on the red power wire had a habit of pulling apart. If it does the regulator can't charge back to the battery.IF the connections are ok,but still not charging, kill the engine and check the resistance between the yellow wires leading to the regulator. Should be some small resistance between each other with no yellow shorting to ground. Plus I forgot what year model you have.. Either has the regulator or an ecm module..

Plenty of them on ebay or amazon from cheap to expensive.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Spor...VZCN85&vxp=mtr I'd get a cheap one hook it up and see if that solves it. Wonder why the regulator was missing in the first place?
