Angry Modded Worklights Shut Off Speedometer??

Hello all! Im super new here so correct me if im in the wrong area for this post. I recently was given a pair of bright led work-lights and attempted to set them up on the front of my 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO I have a on off switch next to my back light switch( near the speedometer) I connected the power to a spare orange/white cable and now whenever I flick the switch off the lights go on along with the speedometer?? And when I turn the switch on the lights turn off and the speedometer shuts down? My power lines are nowhere near the speedometer connections. I have no idea whats causing this to happen. Any help?
Modded lights near the winch.

Try hooking the led power wire up to a red/white instead of the orange/white wire. Should have a spare wire in the loom under the front panel. It's powered up when the ignition is on also. If that still messes things up,then I'd come directly off the battery.
