I am wanting to buy a steering dampener for my 97 Scrambler 500 (has stock pipe). Who makes the best? Thanks,Ryan Hamilton

I'm not sure how to look up the archives here but I wrote about the HPD vs the Aaen since I tested both. The HPD 7 clicker was a waste of money & the Aaen 7 clicker is worth every cent. Just my opinion though.

I'll have to agree with Jim. The Aaen dampener is bliss for me. I have been able to ride for way longer with out fatigue. Plus lots of power and traction being tamed by soft rear suspension and great steering dampening makes the heavy scramblers more competitive and enjoyable to ride.

AAen said they do not carry a steering damp for the 97 So the only people that had one that fit was HPD adjustable. I already ordered it cause my atv is due in the shop for cv boot and steering repairs, so I hope that lady was right about the aaen not fitting.
