i wanna put-in my two cents,
300ex-377lbs-$4799
250ex-350lbs-$3899
trail blazer-461lbs-$3199
the polaris sure is no light-weight but your son will feel heavier with the extra $700 in his pocket. he will have loads of fun on ANY of those atv's, so why not let him buy the one he really wants!?!

I have a 2001 trailblazer and 2001 honda 250ex and at one time had a blaster. I would rule out the blaster just because of no reverse, rotten brakes and no electric starter. That leaves the trailblazer and the 250ex. My son loves his ex but we payed about $800 more for it than the Trailblazer. The 2 are about the same speed but the trailblazer rides better and seems more stable. And if you put $400 or so in the blazer you would smoke the ex.... The ex rides extremly hard and the seat is like a 2x8 with vinal on it..
the ex has great low end tork and it fits a smaller rider but if you kid is a little bigger then the trailblazer will fit him better. I like both but my choice would be the blazer.... but the ex is nice either one is a great ride..

Yeah I agree saw a 250Ex at the dealer and while nice it is not for taller riders, especially a teenager that might grow inches in a short time. A Trail Blazer is the way to go.

My blaster will EaT a trailblazer for lunch on the strip, track or trail! not bragging but i would take the blaster ANYDAY!!! i have ridden a trailblazer and owned a 300ex and the blaster is faster and has much more hop up potential than either of these two. my friend with the trailblazer says he got bored in about a month of riding. no skill, just push a button. the blaster takes learning and would gfet him used to riding so that he could move up one day. and for the extra $900 for the 250ex you could have a hydraulic brake kit works triple rate front/rear shocks, and a pipe and silencer and stomp either of these by an extreme margin and have MMUUCCHH better handling, speed , and jumping! GO WITH THE BLASTER!!! thats my 2 cents and please no bashing

I wouldn't put my pink slip on a race like that if I were you, you would lose. My Polaris Trailblazer would beat even your Banshee in a drag race.......in reverse!

I have 2 friends that ride blasters and i ride a TB250. I wouldn't trade bikes with them, EVER!! Mine is stock and theirs has after market pipes, top cut out of air box, oil pump off, etc. They get me on top end and i get them off the line. In the woods... no contest, I win. Their round balloon tires keeps them unstable. Over bumps and roots they get beat to death. Climbing hills their front end pops up. I will let you guys know what hapens on the MX track. We are racing at Monroe Off-Road Ranch this weekend. The blasters are fun but for comfort, TB250. Lets not forget about suspension. I have them spanked. And as soon as i get my speed kit, I will spank 'em all around. Oh and in the woods, that reverse sure is nice. Just my opinion. Don't beat me up on the replys.
