I have a guess that both will break
60 mph, and that is flying!
Others have posted and it seems verified that
the Polaris will crack 60...
The Cat is perfectly capable with similar
torque and gearing to match it.

I know that Both quads must hit 60mph. My 454 will hit around 58 so I know the Auto AC will hit almost positively. I think it is also a safe bet to say that the Sportsman will hit 60mph. I wouldn't place any bets on the AC winning any drags against the Sportman, but the AC will lay out the tourque.

Come on guys, you are making me feel bad. My 99SP500 will only go 55. And that is on a slight downhill. I live at 5,200 ft., maybe that is what is wrong. I have 2,300 miles on my quad, with no problems,( at least none that were the machine's fault).
I don't ride with anyone 95% of the time, I would love to have an Artic Cat, or a Honda, or a Susie to ride with, oh well. I have not had any trouble with my plastic clutch cover, but the plastic racks are a different story. I will admitt, that rolling it down into a small canyon, and landing on some rocks had a little to do with the demise of the racks, but with the metal ones, I could weld them back together. I am going to make a new tubing rack this winter. I like reading the posts of you computer duelers, so continue, please! The new quads are not in service long enough to tell, but if you would like, I will tell you about my old 350s. Later, Dave

Pasquale .... 5200 feet? Where do you ride? Of course at that altitude, we all think of Denver, but I won't jump to conclusions. Any how, if you *are* in central or southern Colorado check out the Quad Dusters website. I'll be updating the page soon with next year's ride schedule. I guess I need to put my *new* email address in there too.

Prospector, I live in Elko Nevada. The elevation is 5,100 in town, and I live about 100 feet higher. Everywhere that I go from here, is up. I have been to Colorado on vacation before. It was in my pre-quad days, so I was ridding an XT600. I have traveled the Black Bear road, and went all around Silverton. I envy you, Colorado has some spectacular senery.
Later, Dave

Keep filling this post up folks. I've never seen one go 4 pages long before. I'll start a fight with someone here if I have to. I want to see 4 pages.

KAGEY:Well it's different from what you guys do ,And there are alot more miles to cover,I think there are like 30 trails in MOAB area alone. But seeing some of them mud pics it really fasinates me,i'd like to try it.It's got to be a challenge, just in a different way.Seen them mud tires you have today at dealer they are awsome!!!!!Oh yea talked to dealer today he said no word on old yeller yet.He says it's limited supply only making 2500 yellow ones.Just think only 2499 besides mine WOOOOOW!!!!
