Default New top, 50psi?

Truly baffled. My trailblazer 250 needed a top end, it's a 74 mm. New base and head gaskets, nothing is cracked, piston to wall clearance is correct as is ring end gap. Leak down performed with nothing leaking out yet compression test says 50? Wet says 125, so I'd assume rings but that's what is confusing right now since the gap is in spec. And I realize the rings need to seat, but it should be higher than that before hand. Is there a special trick to wiseco pistons I'm unaware of?
