Lightbulb Clutch Primary spring understanding

I own a 2011 Sportsman 400 HO, it has both the High and Low range forward gears. According to Polaris I have a Blue/Gray primary spring, which I believe has a rate of 0lb/30lb/170lb. My goal is more Low to Mid range pull (slower up-shift). Going off the information listed below, wouldn't I want a stiffer spring like a Dalton Amber DPPS-AM 10lb/73lb/189lb??? Any help understanding would be appreciated?

Going off of this information (gathered from a website)
Primary Spring Starting Rate = Controls Engagement

Stiffer Primary Spring Starting Rate = Higher engagement RPM

Softer Primary Spring Stating Rate = Lower engagement RPM

Primary Spring Ending Rate = Controls Up Shift, Back Shift & Peak RPM

Stiffer Primary Spring Ending Rate = Slower Upshift, Quicker Backshift, More Peak RPM

Softer Primary Spring Ending Rate = Faster Upshift, Slower Backshift, Less Peak RPM

just under stand what you gain on the lower end, you will usually loose on the top end. it may shift totally different and make you loose top end speed. just a thought.

Thanks, stendori. Something I need to keep in mind, I would probable sacrifice a few mph on the top end, to get what I want. I am also coming to understanding that it may take both spring changes, to accomplish what I am after. Anyone running the Polaris White Primary and the AAEN Blue Secondary? Or any other combination on a similar ATV? I have searched the forums for sportsman 400 spring setups, and most go with the Polaris White Primary and AAEN Blue. However, the previous year sportsman models use a different primary spring to begin with a Polaris Blue/Green with a rate of 0lb/10lb/110lb. So does that change my setup and results if I try to mimic it???
