Hello guys, I have enjoyed searching through the forum and have found a lot of useful information. I have a 1988 trail boss 250 that seems to be leaking oil out of the left hand side above the PVT transmission cover out of the plastic hose that connects to it. Could this be a crank seal leaking?

Any information or advice on diagnosing this issue is much appreciated I will try to attach a photo of the area that it is leaking again thank you for your advice and input.
