which is better in the mud
#4
I have a 96 Sportsman, Believe me, It will beat just about anythng in mud. Go with the Sportsman, It has tons of Power (low end torque) and It's got some good speed to boot. The scram will beat it in speed, but in overall mud/trail riding, the IRS grips the ground better, I'm so confidant in my Sportsman, I don't have a Winch. That may not sound like that big a deal, But I hunt in Marsh lands (For ducks) It didn't rain alot one season and I went into the marsh, To put it in perspective, where I was, there should of been 6 feet of water. It was rough going, but I didn't get stuck. I love my sportsman. I store it outside, And I only cranck it once every 3 months or so and I've never had any trouble with it starting. As for all-around camp work, I haul deer stands around with it, Clear fallen trees with it, pull up stumps, the whole bit. If you want more power, get a K&N filter, with jets, HPD pipe, clutch kit, Larger carb (if you get the HO, don't worry about the Carb) And get yourself a good set of tires and you will have the ultimate hunting, trail riding, camp working, and Fun machine. But ride them both and BUY THE ONE YOU WANT!!!!!!!!!!! All I know is that my sportsman is the best thing since sliced bread!

If you want the best mudder its the sp(for now),if you want to go some jumping and mudding get the sc.
But if you do get the SP.....Without a doupt "GET A WINCH" !!
Make NO mistake about it,if your going in the mud, your going to need it sooner or later.
No disrespect intended but madman, your a madman
