Default What do I have!

Can anybody explain to me why qhen I run the vin on my polaris sportsman 500 4x4 it says its a 1998 (correct) but this part has me baffled says its a 6x6 with a 550 engine with the 500 trim?!?!?! Any help pls!!!i bought it used and I dont believe someone could swap it if I'm not mistaken the 6x6 has sra right? Mine does have the irs

On that VIN lookup software. Try your VIN on the Polaris Ride Command app on the computer and see what results you get.

It's definitely telling you the wrong information. Your Sportsman is a 98 Sportsman 500 just like you thought. The engine would be a 499 cc size and you should have independent rear suspension.

That site makes more sense its exactly what I have lol
