2008 polaris

I have a 2008 Ranger I was testing my fuel pressure and i lost the valve core in the line the question is can the vale core be replace by a generic one off the shelf or a air condition value core or do i need to go to the dealer and get one??

Why take a chance, engines are not cheap, just get the correct part and be done with it.
