Looking at one locally for sale. Has winch installed but looks a little rusty. Seat does not look cracked. Asking $1700. Says everything works.

First, how does that price sound *if* everything works? Second, how would I go about testing the 4x4 on it? Can I put it up on blocks for testing?

 

put it in awd when it's started, put it reverse w/ the over ride button pushed and quickly full throttle backwards(hang on and don't hit anything) and if the awd is not working then the rear tires will spin with out the front ones. it should engage all wheels causing it to not spin at all, but just go backwards really fast. properly maintained is the key for a good used wheeler. make sure the cv joints are good and no ripped boots. price varies so just do a search in your area for other bikes that year and size.
