I can be riding and it’s running great all of a sudden it shuts off and I cannot restart it. Also does this have a magneto to charge the battery? I have to jump it to start it and after it shuts down I cannot jumpstart it immediately

 

most likely the rectifier might be bad which controls the battery voltage. test the battery while its running it should be putting out at least 13.5 volts. if the battery is not charging at all that means it will run the battery flat and yes shut off as it needs 12 volts to keep running.
