2007 Polaris 800 EFI - Running Rough; intermittent Gas Gauge display
#1
Newbie here so apologies if suggested solutions are somewhere in a forum/sticky. Took a look but did not find this combination of issues. Fgured I would take a shot here because I have three data points which might help diagnose the gremlin:
2007 Polaris EFI Sportsman. Has run great for the last year; ridden for at least a few minutes almost daily.Only 150 miles on it. Basics sorted such as fresh air filter, clean fuel, coolant, fan working, etc.
1. Hard starting.
2. Rough running once started, sputtering, lack of power, occasional burst by feathering throttle, mild backfire. Worsens when hot.
3. Fuel gauge display appears intermittently, more often not displaying. Can’t seem to find the reason for this but obviously a loose or failing connection somewhere.
3. Error Code 25. I’ve read that this is a “non-code“ related to the transmission shifter position but nonetheless it is the only code being displayed.
Any constructive advice or suggestions much appreciated! (I’ll take a little crap too being the FNG so long as it’s got helpful suggestions with it!)
Thanks in advance for the help!
