1996 Polaris xplorer 400 4x4 not staying running
#1
I just bought a 1996 Polaris xplorer 400 4x4. The person I got it from said they lost the key so they unhooked it. They turned the kill switch into a on/off switch for the machine. I can not get it started. All I can get it to do is start for about 1 second then it dies. And that is all it will do. No matter how many times i try to start it. It has good compression. The oil pump is working. When ever i pull it over by hand I can here the primary clutch hitting the inside of the cover. I checked the carburetor and there is hardly any suction at the carburetor when i am turning it over. I think the crank bearings have some slop in them witch is allowing the crank seals to open and suck air. That is why there is hardly any suction at the carburetor. what do you guys think? I would love to get a wiring diagram of this machine. Please Help
