I have a 95 Scrambler and was out riding this weekend and the rear axle housing broke. Right where the grease fitting is located. I did not hit anything so I am wondering how this could have happen? This ever happen to anyone else. Anyway I need to get it replaced by Memorial Day. Would a dealer be the only place I can get one. Thanks for the help.

A dealer would be the best place to get a new axle carrier. While the axle is out, check the axle for straightness. If it is bent, get it straightned, or replace it with a DuraBlue Eliminator. Also you must replace the bearings regardless.

Default Axle housing failure

I have the same problem on my 02 scrambler, but they crack by the ends where the bearings go in. I do jump hard and far with mine though.
