After pulling two very stuck 500s out of some very deep mud I noticed that there was a small bit (1 or 2 oz.)of oil in the air box on my 99 500 mag. I changed the engine breather filter and rode it a little while and no more oil appeared. Is this cause for concern? any help would be great thanks.

I've seen this on numerous Quads and it has never really appeared to be anything serious or a symtom of anything serious. Some just seem to do it, I wonder if it may have anything to do with the oil level possibly being a little high?

I've seen several of the 4-stroke Polarises do that when they've been flipped or stood up on end. They also do it when they are new... I've never seen one hurt by it though.
And like Kagey said... if the oil level is a little high..

I don't suppose it could be an oil wetted air filter like a K&N and was over soaked the last time it was serviced.
Good luck
