Fourlix and the Metal Medics On "Junkyard Wars" Monday night.

We went to London in September and did this reality TV show for THE LEARNING CHANNEL. It was a blast. This originally aired in January, but I didn't let anyone on here know till afterwards.
My team was the Metal Medics, my real name is Alex. The second half of the show is basically mine. We build powerboats out of scrap in 10 hours, really. I won't tell you any more than that. Enjoy the show...Junkyard Wars, TLC, Monday, May 28.

Fourlix, I enjoyed it the 1st time around and I'll watch it again Monday. Even though I know how it's going to come out, I still enjoy watching the Junkyard reruns. Great show!
Hopefully your team can get on a second time.

That's real cool. I've heard rumors that they plant engines and such in the Junkyard, is that true? Were the narrators nice? I've always wanted to know this stuff. If you can't tell me, that's cool, but it would be nice to know, Thanks!

The contestants are the only ones that don't know what's going on. We had no idea what our project would be till the show started. The experts are chosen by the TV production team for their particular area of expertise along with the judge. Our team, the Metal Medics, was matched with our expert. We did not even meet him till the morning of the show. The expert submits a basic design and the production company tries to set up the projects to show contrasting, entertaining, and educational aproaches to the project. They also make sure that there is enough stuff in the junkyard to make these projects, including an assortment of wrecked cars and motorcycles with
working motors. Often, special parts are given to the teams to make these seemingly impossible projects come to life, all on camera. It is a fair and awesome premise, for what you need may or may not be there.
It is constant, frantic, no turning back, get it done, boogie till you puke. With a few time outs for chats with lovely Cathy Rogers. Camera time is not only delicious but is added to your build time. Enjoy.
You now know way more than you are supposed to.

My wife can't believe that I can have a discussion with someone off TV. I told her you were on this site and that you were on Junk Yard Wars. She didn't believe me. Oh well, I will show her tonight.

Fourlix,
where do the teams get all that metal bar that they use for projets?? it looked "too good" for junkyard stuff.
also, did they ever make u change your design when u were building it at the suggestion of the "expert"??
is every engine in that yard good??
