Pudding

I think the top poster was Bill Cilberetti when he still used that name as his nickname. Go to the Today section under the main forum page (at the top) and it gives the top ten posters.

Speed wise I think it is relevant to how many people are logged on at that particular time. OR maybe it's got something to do with how the moon and the stars are lined up. Whatever! It ( as well as other sites ) have always been this way.

We all started with that dill-rod picture. It is changable in your "profile" I think. You are under the "default" title right now. If I didn't find that snowman, I was going to opt for the black chick! She's almost as good lookin' as I am!! 'Cept I don't have any needle tracks. Maybe a needle something else, but we don't need to get into that here.

The faces are a joke. You can turn them off in the customize screen where it says "If you are on a slow connection, choose the Standard Graphics mode to decrease download times."

With the faces ON the download size of this page is: 258K (way too large for a web page)
With the faces OFF the download size of this page is: 123K(still too large but better)

So not only are they intended for a younger audience, the page will download faster without them.

The faces, like any web graphic, will be stored in your browsers cache. So they won't really effect the download speed of the page unless you have a very small cache or don't visit here often enough for them to stay in cache.

Mr. Quad Patrol;

Yunno, one thing that I have discovered that I wish would /could be changed is that NOW with the new server or platform or whatnot here, my E-mail notification says that there has been a responce to my ..... It doesn't say tho what the bloody responce is. Not only did this site USED to send the message and who it was from, but so do most / all of the other sites (not necessarily ATV) that I go to. This makes it a lot easier to keep up somewhat without having to LOG-ON every time. I am going to miss that. Can this be changed? Ole' boddy - Ole' pal?

Hmmmm. I can certainly program that into the software. Let me think on it.
