Your 500 beating a 432? No way! No offense Boner, I don't want to be sarcastic, but I just had to say that. You should try racing a Sportman 500 in a drag race once. I know ours can beat our ForemanES pretty easily.

In a drag race,I beat my buddies 450s three differant times.Once he started in 1st gear and I really beat him good.Everytime he shifted the 450s,I jumped about a quads length ahead of him.I do have a clutch kit though on the Sportsman.======BILL

If you want to get technical I "only" have a 493 that beat a 433. I know a 348 that can beat my 493, I think it's called the Banshee.

At the 99 ATV Jamboree in Richfield,Ut the winner was surely a Grizzly, The winner in the mudbog in the stock class appeared to be a 300 Arctic cat. I didnt see any obvious advantage that any brand had over another, It seemed to me that most of the machines made it the same distance , The determining factor it appeared came down to driver ability.

Chicken man,''Hail to the Sportsman'',I've also won a mudding event before.I often wonder how the 400cc 2 stroker Xplorer would do in a mudding event?I've not yet seen one in the a mudding event yet.Im thinking with all that power,it could dominate the mud. What cha think?=====BILL

At a mudrun awhile back, I saw a Honda 450S with 27" Vampires tied tail to tail with a Sportsman 500 with 27" Vampires. (I think the Sportsman had Vamps... Adam might remember for sure)
Anyway, They played tug of war SEVERAL times, and a few times nobody moved... BUT, more often than not, that Sportsman would drag that Honda backwards at 10-15 M.P.H...
They did it several times... but the Honda didn't seem to have a chance...

Robert, I remember that one... It was funny. I think the Foreman did have the 27" Vamps but I think the Sportsman had 26" Super Swampers. It wasn't much of a contest though, at least the times I saw it. The Sportsman drug him all over the place and the Honda just hopped up and down spinning it's tires. One time the Sportsman let the Honda get a running starting pulling him, then the nailed it and started dragging him again. The Sportsman did have the weight advantage though.
