i would like to get a new set of tires fot my 500 4x4 scrambler to replace the stock tires. 85% of my riding is trails and some light mudding. does anyone have any recommendations?

I need a new set myself and was leaning toward Pure Sports Bandits.

I've got a set of Pure Sport Bandits and really like them. Got great traction on hard pack, not to bad in the mud. But in the sand and pea gravel, I'm not to happy with them. They dig way to much for me. But all in all they are a great set of tires. I bought these from Rocky Mountain. I got a set of 4 on Douglas .190 red labels delievered to Chicago for $434.

i would definitely keep kenda bearclaws in mind. they are light weight, fairly aggressive for mud & trails, but not bad on pavement or hardpack either. i think chapparel_racing.com delivers a set to your door for around $200. it is either 2p's & one r, or the other way around. good luck with whatever you decide.

Bearclaws...definately. they will make you Scrambler a bit wider in back which helps a lot for cornering and stability, they slide great, great in mud and on all surfaces.

One word - Holeshots. Look in any mag, go to any race, MX, cross crountry etc, and look at all the people using holeshots. Baja - XCT's. Scrambler XCT's on .190 alloy.

Yo dude I think the Pure Sport Bandits, Kenda Bearclaws, and the ITP Holeshots are all good tires to consider!!!! Hey has anybody tried the Pure Sport Realtors for the rear, they look like pretty cool tires, don't know the pros and cons and was wondering if anybody in here has them or has tried them?

Well cya later guys !

For mudding I would not recommend the Holeshots. Bearclaws or Spidertracks (very similar) have a more aggressive tread and are still a flat type tire which is good for sliding when needed. I really love the looks of the Pure Sport Bandits but have not heard anything positive. I even called the company and they recommended I not get them if doing any mud... but then again they told me a sporty-mud tire would be small Blackwaters?!?!
