I got hung up on a stump last week in the swamp(same stump that killed my winch) and I only had 3 wheels turning. The left front wheel just sat there useless as tit's on a bull.Anyone know the what the deal is with that?
I forgot about it till 2 minutes ago
TIA

Be sure there is power going to the magnet coil in that wheel when the 4wd switch is on. The ignition switch will need to be on, also.
Chances are the wire is torn or pulled out of a socket somewhere.

Good luck

even if the wheel was stuck really good, the bike would still turn it if the other wheel was turning. like Farmr123 said, maby a wire got riped off or disconnected from that side. you should see a little blue wire "that's what color mine is anyway" running from the strurt. make sur etrhat there are no breaks in it, and all the connections are good. you'd hate to take it to the dealer...they charge too much!!

It also could be the hub could also be out of adjustment, that's what happened to mine.

I read your post again and you mentioned getting hung up. That made me think you should double-check the wire to the hub. If electrical testing is beyond your skills, you can still look around under there a little. I would hate to have you go to the dealer & have him charge you just to re-connect a wire.

Just an aside on Polaris 4wd systems - all the machines with the electric hubs - if one front wheel is spinning, they both should be spinning, otherwise something is amiss. There is no differential action in the front end.

Well I finally got a chance to go over the quad,I put it on the lift with the wheels hanging and the 4x4 worked,go figure.
Another post I made was how my winch took a dump.so I pulled the 50amp breaker and it still dosent work?
Now I have the whole winch and mounting plate off, ready to send it back to superwinch, unless someone has a tip?
TIA

while it's tempararely out of commission and you have it on the lift, you might want to check all the connections just to be sure that they are all good and sealed so it'll work on your next ride. maby a connection got some water in it or something
