I found that a polishing compound from 3M called Finesse-it II (part # 05928) works great. If you use it by hand it takes quite a bit of elbow grease, but with a buffer it works quickly. I have seen a friend of mine that owns a body shop buff a terribly yellowed and scratched convertible top window to the point that it was clear again.

if you take the time, this way will turn out like stock.
take all the plastic off, and use a fine grit sandpaper at first to get the surface even, then go to a really "REALLY" finer grit Like the finest they make...i think it's like 420 or something, next to get the plastic smoother. it will look like maier plastic after this. wipe the plastic down with a damp cloth to get all the dust off of it. then if you want the shine back. Use Mop-n-Glow on a rag and wipe the plastic down making sure to put an even coat on. you may want to repat this step more than once for a better shine
