I recently puchased a rear swing arm plate for a 2k scam 500 4x4(DG),and it seems to only fit if I remove the disk brake protector. It would fit if I trim .25 inch from the rear, but that would be a last resort.Has anyone experienced any problems w/their skid plates? Can the brake system be moved a quarter inch?I feel like an a**. Thanks

Every DG product I have bought I have had problems with. In my opinion, DG and Polaris don't mix.

I bought the Polaris skid plate and had no problems so far. If I were you I wouldn't mess with it, just try to take the DG back and just go out and buy the Polaris one.

I have Polaris skid plates for my swing arm and under carriage. The front a-arms are PRM. The polaris fit much better, and were cheaper than the PRM when looking at the package.

I Have the Moose swing arm plate. It gives alot more protection than the DG and looks much better too. $65.00 at motor cycle usa. Fit was perfect on my 2000 400 scrambler. Here is the link.

I have a polaris skid plate and it fit fine, but it really decreases my ground clearence from 6" to 4".It's really close to the ground now. That's the only drawback for me.

What are the approximate length/width dimensions of the skid plate?

With the Polaris skid I have, I removed both the brake disc guard, and the sprocket guard. Been running like that for two years, including a season of Harescrambles, and not one problem. I have both the DG Banshee nerfs, and the DG front bumper. Both worked quite nicely. I've since pulled the bumper ( It's for sale on Bad Boys page), but it worked good and looked the part...just wanted something diff.
