I'm in the market for a new helmet to use during the hot summer months. My current one (a beat up old snowmobile helmet) is fine when the temperature is low, but it will probably be 90° for a good part of the summer, and all that padding in that helmet is just TOO much!
I desperately need a new helmet. I want a full face helmet, and a visor (not a shield), and as open as possible.
I remember a thread on one of these boards a while ago about a full face helmet that was like an open helmet, but wasn't... I tried searching, but found nothing as I don't remember the brand. I thought that would be a good idea, but, like I said, I can't for the life of me think of the manufacturer of it...

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, I'd like something that's rather inexpensive, if that's at all possible...

Personally I prefer HJC helmets, and I wear mine year-round. In the winter I put in the leather face peace that keeps the mud and cold air out of my face and in the summer months I take it out and open the vents. At high speed it is fine but working a trail really hard I still get hot. ( when it is over 85 out). When you find a good hot weather helmet please let us Know.
