I just got a new 00 scrambler and what I could do to make my scrambler faster.

 

Ummmm.... get rid of the damn thing for a man's quad like a 400EX or a banshee.

 

Well considering that a 400ex has only 27 horsepower compared to the 38 a Scrambler makes, I wouldn't consider it too manly.

I'm not interested in trading my machine. But I would like to know if there are any problem areas on a Scrambler to keep a close eye out.

I am concerned about the sproket and why Polaris would sell the brush guard as an accessory if the underside is prone to damage.

Also, has anyone has problems with the battery placement location. it seems to me that a stick or branch could rip the thing right out.

I havent had any trouble with the underside of my Trailblazer at all. The extra protection is probably for riding in rocky areas. And the battery has never gotten ripped out and I ride it pretty rough in brush and stuff that could grab it.

 

I've ridden my 99 Sport in some very rocky areas. I've ridden over rocks that have those telltale silver lines going across them. Mine has never hit them. I am, however, going to get the guards just to be safe. Which Scrambler did you buy? I put the RcR Stage 1 kit on my Sport, and strongly recomend Rick Ritter's products if you want your quad to haul some major ***.

Well Kevin if you are going to pay attention to Horsepower charts and numbers you are dumb. Wow the scrambler makes 38 h.p.! ohhhh.... was that from the crank or to the back wheels? Nobody know's. As far as i'm concerned, you gotta ride all the machines and decide for yourself which machine rips and which doesn't. But i guarantee ya that the 400EX will rip up crap way better than any scrambler. Bye buddy!
