I bought a Stage One kit from RCR and it helped all around performance and was easy to install, I think it was money well spent.

I also have a 2000 Trailboss. I already had the K&N filter & jetting so I ordered the green spring and air box modification from RCR. Right away I could tell a difference with the spring. Acceleration increased, I can actually ride a wheelie with this tank.
I have also taken about 30 lbs of weight off of it. I bought a DG bumper for a Scrambler for my Boss. I'm working on a set of nerf bars and removing the heavy floor boards.
I'm looking to purchase a exhaust for my Boss. Hot Seat has a header pipe and muffler(Aluminum) for $280 and claims 4hp gain. RCR has just a muffler for $180. I called SuperTrapp and a universal one can be bought for around $165.

HAS ANYONE PUT AN EXHAUST ON THEIR TRAILBOSS? If they did how much more noticable power was there?

325TrailBoss,
Did the DG Alloy Bumper bolt up or did you have to mod it to fit? Lightening the boss is something i've looked into and would like to visit with you about it. Do you have any pics of what you've done so far? BTW, I have Ritter's low end pipe on mine, and did notice an increase in power. However, I wasnt able to do any testing when I put it on, so I dont have any real-world numbers to share. The fit and finish are great!

Thanks

The DG bumper bolts right on to the existing bumper mounts. Once you mount it on you have to cut little notches out of the inner most part of the fenders. Less than an inch wide. I also bought the radiator cover($22 through a dealer) for the 400 Scrambler to protect my oil cooler. I had to make two small brackets(Approx. 1 inch by 3.5 inches) for the bottom of the cover. It looks like it was factory installed.

I went with the Hot Seat $475 kit instead of the stage one, but the difference from stock was amazing.
Stock, I was able to lift the front wheels for a short distance just from power, about 3 inches with me nailing it from a stop while sitting in the middle of the seat.
After I installed the Hot Seat kit I was pulling full power weelies while accelerating, with me over the bars. The thing flat *** rips now. Hard to believe it got that much more power from only a Pipe, but it did.
It literally transforms your machine into a whole new animal.
I find myself using the brakes a lot harder now and the motor is not run WOT as much as before, (already going to fast for the corners)
I Would never go back to a stock motor.
Before the kit I could run neck and neck with my friends 400EX,
Now I pull away form a dead stop all the way to top speed, he dosn't stand a chance.
