i am putting 25 x 8 (possibly 7 if they exist) front tires on my scrambler and replacing the rims,
i have found no 25 inch tire that doesnt use a 12, the stocks are 10, do i need to keep a 10, or can i put a 12 on it with no problems?
what front tires should i get?

You can put a stock 12" Polaris wheel on the front of your Scrambler. Jackals suck. You should consider Maxxis All Traks, Maxxis Sure Traks, or Titan 489 x/t. There are other good tires also, but Jackals aren't it!

You should be able to put an 8 inch tire on with no problem. A friend of mine just bought a wasted 1998 Trailblazer 250 with bald tires on the front. I loaned him my 25x8x12 Spider Tracs on the Polaris 12" 8-spoke wheels and they fit fine. Lots of room. But, now that I think of it, The 8-spoke wheels have a different offset than a stock rim. Do you have a friend with a Polaris with 12" wheels and 25" tires that you can try on your machine? Another thing to check is to make sure your stock tires are the same diameter front and rear. If the fronts are 23" and the rears are 22" then you must use 25" in the front and 24" in the rear to prevent damage to the driveline when in 4wd.

I really dont think you will have a problem with the 12 wheels and 25" tires up front. I dont recommend you put 25" tires on a 10" rim up front because it will handle terrible. There will be too much sidewall.

I just looked at a picture of a Scrambler and there appers to be plenty of room for 25x8x12 on stock wheels. Someone on this forum has a Scrambler with HUGE mud tires on it! Try making a post titled: Can you put large mud tires on a Scrambler. Im sure someone will reply with pictures.

anyway,
i bought the scrambler, and it has 25 x 12 x 10 Realters on the back,
sick tire,
now, if i put 26's up front,
which i dont even knowe if there is a 26 inch tire thats 8 inches wide or less,
the quad would be a beast, i think it would be to tippy,
it still has the stocks in the front,. and the rims are bent up a little,
my freind has a 2000 sp500 LEMON thats been in the shop a few times,
do the front tires on those fit my test needs?
i want to put 25's up front to balance out the drivline more, but i dont want to make it tp tippy by putting 26's up there

 

The tires from your friends Sp500 will work fine. The rims have the same bolt pattern as your Sc. They will bolt right on and you will be able to check your fit. I understand why you dont want 26" tires up front and yes they do make a 8" wide tire in 26". Check out www.rockymountainatv.com or www.denniskirk.com for tires. They have some great prices. You shouldnt use your 4wd with the smaller tires up front.

 

well, for safety reasons, id rather ahve 25 inch up front, is there a "tall" 25 thats taller then the realtor 25?, im not to stuck on traction, i need somthing that will handle good enough, but still be able to hook up, like sur tracs, 489 xt's. ect.

No, you have it all wrong. You dont stay with a one inch taller front, it is a ratio. 23:22. It would be taller than a 26, maybe a 27. It isnt as important in the dirt, but if you ride on pavement, it can mess some stuff up. (only if you get the rear tires to slip.)
