500SP list of modifications and some questions for you

Hey 4X, save yourself the time and just disconnect the black ground wire fom the black box, this disables your rev limiter. Question? After all you've done to your Sp, why would you bring it to a shop to install jets? This is on the trail and in the woods type stuff.

some times you just get fed up with something and you just want it done.
especially when you when you have vacation plans and you would like to have your bike done for the mud run at the end of the fair
funny thing was that my wonderful dealer took a week to do this. i dropped it off on the monday befor the forth stopped in on ththat friday to pick it up and it wasn't done lide they said
they told me it would be done monday , what they really ment was next monday.
as for the black wire, i think this has been done to override the reverse revlimiter i don't know if this efects the rest of the rpms
i will find out today frokm another dealer as mine has not got back to me on this question for the last 5 days
sey you

tried it with no effect
still havnt heard back from two dealers
does any one know a number for plaris tech for the general public
if this doesn't have a limmiter then is it the timing curve that was designed for my motor that was ment to run at 5500
the advance may go flat or retard after 5500 (thats how my yamaha sleds' ignition works )
help me pleeeeeaaaase

good and bad to report
i finally heard from the source about my wheelers ignition system
my older sportsman is sapose to make the best power at around 5800
the ignition timing retards at 6000 thus my rpm problem is solved
but my new problem is that the guy also told me that my conecting rod and bearings would last about 15hrs if i run my motor with a scrambler cdi box at the optimum 6500 .
so i guess i'm going to settle for the lower rpm for now
no funds to buy a crank and rod right now but at least i finally know what rpm to clutch my bike for
tomorrow i may have time
