I ordered the 50 inch moose plow and mounting kit from dennis kirk. Should be here tomorrow or the next day. The mount kit may take a little longer. I'll let you know what I think as soon as I get to use it.

Does anyone know how high the blade will be in the full up position?

I just got the Moose county plow today, it works great hardly been off the thing since I got it. I wish it would snow tonite. I would stick with the winch, I have the warn winch and have no problem with it. The plow is a beast!!!! I paid 400 for the plow installed and anothe 400 for the winch worth every penny. I had a plow on a 22 hp John Deer lawn tractor with manual lift and my arm hurt for days from lifting and letting it down so much. Go Moose 60" county plow and winch if you have 500 polaris. I have the magnum and it works great. It is heavy but it helps when backing out of the banks to get traction.

Good Luck

I bought the 50" moose plow with my AC 500 auto and paid about $320. I use it with the Warn A2000 winch. I'd guess the lift height to be around 7-8". The lift on mine is limited by the amount of cable I can spool onto the winch, in other words I can take a tie-down strap and attach it to the plow and front rack giving me another few inches of lift. If you're using the feet on this plow, make sure you torque them down tight, they have a tendency to vibrate loose and fall off.

with the moose you will get about 2 deg. more angle every little bit helps! also the curve of the blades are greater than the others your snow rolls a little better

I Have a new 48" Polaris plow on my Sportsman 335 and it does a good job. I got the 48 because I thought with the 60" when plowing in heavy snow with the blade angled it would push the front over. The new blades dismount in about 3 seconds with no pins to remove. The mount plate hangs down about 2" and it has the pins mounted on it. I also use the winch to lift the blade. I mounted the winch switch to the body panel over the tank so I could use either hand to operate the winch. I paid 299 at dealer for blade, mount and A-frame.

The plow made it here yesterday! Looks cool sitting in front of my sportsman in the shop. Now if the mounting kit would arrive I'd be all set up.

When I was putting the feet on the blade they were really hard to screw in like the threads might be boogered up a little so I ran a tap through to clean up the threads and then applied some anti-sieze stuff to the threads b4 screwing the feet in. Sounds like that might be a bad thing if those things have a habbit of working loose. Oh well, I'll figure out a way to make em stay tight.
