I have a 98 SP 500 W/O EBS, EPI sport Utiltiy Clutch Kit. I added 27" Tri-Claw to the rear and 27" Bi-Claw to the front. I used the factory rims . The only change I had to make is I used 1/8" spacers on the wheel studs to offset the front tires so they would not rub the tie rod ends.
The tires handle great on hard pack as well as mud. Great combo.
Good Luck

I have 12 rims now when I first bought 26 inch mudbugs. Now I have 27 inch mudbugs. both sets used my 12 inch aluminum rims. I have 2 space washers on each lug bolt on both tires in the front. Only one side needs them. the right side. but just to be consistent. I put them on both sides. I need them on both the 26 and 27 inch tires.
About the tires. I would say that the mudrunners are very durable and will probably outlast mudrunners. I was very pleased with my 26 inch mudbugs, and because of that I tried the 27 inch mudbugs. What a rip off they were. They appeared smaller then my 26's. Narrower anyway. It seems that the 26 inchers were the size they say they are but they are advertising there tires as the lightest of any brand. To do this. I found my 27's were all very narrow. Narrower then my 26 bugs. Thats how they keep the weight down. Thus, in reality, the size that is printed on the tire. is false. 27x12x12 was realy 26&1/2 x 10 x 12. my 26 inch tires were a full 26x12x12 in the rear. So I recommend 26 inch mudbugs. But I am warning people not to buy 27 inch mudbugs. I bought them through high lifter, and I even sent them an e-mail asking them whats up with these tires I bought from them. and they decided not to e-mail me back at all.
I thought it was going to be a sure thing. since the 26 inchers were so nice. I just expected them same quality and size change from the same darn company! The 27's are not very tough either. I have had 2 flats that look like they were just from a stick in the woods. One for sure. as the stick was still in the tire. My 26 inch tires, never had a flat and they were used much longer and harder then the 27's. I still have both sets and the 27's are still on the machine, even then I have been unhappy about them. rangerchet

The mudbugs are a good mud tire alright. the 26's held up good as long as I had them on my machine. Now they are in the basement. Those 27's were just flimsy tires. Easy to puncture holes in them. They were smaller size then advertised. rangerchet
