my dealer has 2002 sp400's in stock. she says more of the other stuff is on the way soon.

(she has not heard a damn thing about a 700, she says it doesn't exist, no truth, just a customer rumor going around wildly)

mtpockets,

I respectfully suggest that you tell your dealer to pay more attention to her business! The 700 Sportsman is real, confirmed to me today at 12:30 p.m. by Polaris factory rep at the dealer taking orders on same. He (dealer) is only able to get four initially. The factory rep said he'd be back very soon with a demo unit to travel his circuit with and show all his dealers also let them ride it! It is going to be black and silver with chrome wheels. I will be able to get a first hand look at this one when he comes back!

Jerry,
i really, really, REALLY hope that you are correct!

my dealer has a VERY clear understanding that IF a new 700 is produced, i get the first one!

the money is just burning a hole in my pocket for that machine. i read all those posts on the internet- but see no proof!

a guy under one of those recent topics even said he'd get some pictures this week............guess what? i'm still waiting!

i don't know what to think. CHRIST, everyone has been talking about this 700 for over a GD year!

do you think that polaris is having trouble with this new model and that is delaying it's launch?

getting less patient and more frustrated,
MT

mtpockets,

Hang in there mt! It is real without a dought. It will be mid sept though before they will be in showrooms. However as to which dealers will have them and which ones wont.....some will get them in sept and some not until after jan '02! Based on dealer commitment to Polaris. So, if you have dealer who is not very commited to the product line then find one who is to be sure to get one in the fall! Limited availability is the key here. Your dealer should know by now or very soon whether or not they will be on the first run or the second.

This is what I have been told. Again, hang in there '02 is going to be a great year for ATV's and Polaris for sure!
