My dealer says that the release date is Sept. 1st and the website www.sportsman700.com will also be up on that day.

Sorry, the 13th is the start of some promotions, not the 700.

Sept. 1 is a SATURDAY. I highly doubt that the official release date would be on a weekend.

I have some good NEWS ALL!!! well I decided for the heck of it to go to

WWW.SPORTSMAN700.com. And what did i find...??? Well I found that it is a registered website owned by Polaris Industries, ATV division AND its under Construction RIGHT NOW. So that means that it will make a debut VERY SOON. Also Rumor has it that Suzuki HAS released ALL 2002 ATV's except the 2002 QUADMASTER 500 4X4, BECAUSE they are going to release it as a 700cc Vinson "bodied" (PLASTIC and visuals) QUADMASTER 700 4x4 in September right about when POLARIS will introduce their's. If you want some info on the QMASTER, i will have the bulk of it this afternoon. THERE IS OUR FINAL ANSWER! And those of you who have been saying that this model will NOT be released are THE WEAKEST LINK! (I had to throw that in, I watched it for the first time and that lady is pretty funny) Let me tell you. Ive owned ATVs since my 1985 honda fourtrax 250 2x4 and every year things get more and more interesting in this market. RIDE SAFE! =)

If you are correct on the Suzuki 700, then expect one from Arctic Cat as well.

Also: quad_man, is that 4wd system the same as the 2002 Magnum 500 where they moved the electro-locking part of the system inboard, out of harms way?

Kevin,

Yes and no. The setup you talk about is just like the Ranger 4x4, but not like the Magnum RMK. I don't remember if all the 4x4's including the regular Magnum went to the new setup or not, I have 2002 brochures, but I haven't studied them or anything yet. But only the RMK will be using the Visco-Lok as of right now, nothing else.

Not the RMK, the regular Magnum 500. I read that they had moved the elctro-locking mechanism from the hubs to somewhere close to the front gearbox. This would keep people from cutting the wires out on the struts.
