Sorry guys, but I don't have a scanner or fax to send them. But as far as motor wise it's still a 2 stroke, but the sales person didn't mention any motor upgrades. The weight of it should be about 20 to 30lbs more then the 2x4 which would put it at 500 to 510 lbs. But at the price I was quoted of $5400 with all the great graphics and the chance of many motor upgrades makes this machine very appealing. Again with the Sonic Blue and Yellow graphics this 4x4 looks awsome.

The new issue of ATV Sport said Polaris did a test of it's new sport bike with some amatuer racers. It said it was a five speed, manual clutch, 380 lbs., rack and pinion steering. As fast, or faster than the Raptor they brought along. Oh yeah, it's 500 cc four stroke. The testers said the handling and speed/power were amazing.

Just note for those who see the Scrambler 400 X pictures. Some of the ones in the photos are of a 500, with all the 400 X fenders, graphics, etc. I assume they didn't have a 400 ready at the time or something. So before people start claiming it's another doctored photo, some of the pictures are of the 500 motor in the 400x setup.

The new sport quad in R&D is totally diff. machine. I'll do my best later today to get a picture of the new "X" 400 4X4, and see if I can post it.......For those of you who doubt sources, Take a lot on Bad Boys page, check date and time of my "Little Bird Story". Like the 700, keep the faith, believe it or not, they are listening. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the winds of change are blowing, and it's coming from the north.....Northern Minnesota that is. Patience is difficult sometimes, but loyalty can pay off in large lump sums.

I agree with modquad. A very good friend of mine works for a Market Research company. She is currently involved in their Polaris account (for the Polaris line of ATV's...nothing else, just ATV's). They are specifically doing research on Yamaha, and Honda (things anywhere from ATV features to Warranty coverage and Financing promotions).
I don't know about the other companies, but I do know that Polaris is VERY focused on giving the consumer what they want. And from what she tells me, it's obvious that they are going to keep trying to outdue Yamaha and Honda regardless of what they release.
I haven't talked to her for a while now...I'll give her a call and see if she has any more info that I could share.
See ya,

the scrambler X is for real but it is not a 400 2stroke 4X4 it is a 500 4 stroker 2x4. It has been at my local dealer for over a month. the new polaris high performance quad is said to be between a 400-600 4 stroke with a 5 speed manual shift, clutch. that is competitive with a raptor in drag races and handles as good as a 400ex and jumps better than both.
