top speed for a souped up sport 400????

i got a 99 sport 400 that has hpd trailmod pipe and silencer, and a aggressive clutch kit, i was wondering if anybody had them mods and if so do you know the top speed with them, thanks.

I'd say about 67 mph...

I would agree...67-68mph estimate. My Sport has almost the same mods...I haven't done a top speed rating on it yet, but maybe when I go up to ride tonight I'll get the GPS out and see. I'll keep you posted.

What gears are you running? If you install 14/30 gears it will go alot faster than the 13/36 gears it comes stock with.

i thought the top speed for the sport was about 65 though, thats what i heard.

How badly does your lowend suffer from the 14/30 gearing??

Its noticable when trail riding and in high traction like with paddles.

My buddie has a sport 400 with dyno port racing exhaust system 460 bore kit clutch kit and a whole bunch of stuff on it and it ran 87 mph on the car dyno at his shop and produced 47 hp[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Before I did any mods mine ran stock at 58mph on my e-trex gps, After my HPD treatment my best run has been 70mph flat[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
