I just recently found out that I had blown a piston on a practically brand new 2001 TB, is this normal? They said it's because it got water on it... if thats the case they're saying whenver you go through water you need to get a new piston, I think thats crap. Has this happened to anyone else?

Not sure yet, the guy at the dealer said " the engine blew up" I don't know exactly what thats supposed to mean lol but theres is practically no compression and from what I've heard about stock pistons cracking easily, I don't doubt thats what it is.

Have a friend with a 00TBlazer that did something similar. It turns out the factory left a plug out of the bottom of the engine and the first time he went through a little mud, it sucked mud right in, packed on top of the piston, and hulled his out. Was scary to have a new quad do that, but the dealer was great. Put a new wiseco in for him and covered everything in case it ever has problems related to that.
