Does anyone know what this is? This there any information on it anywhere?
Does it allow you to switch to 2wd?
Can you completely lock the front end with it?
Thanks,

The Magnum RMK ViscoLock is a front diff that can be switched in and out of 2 wd, and works by sending more power to the wheel that slips. So it is still true 4 wd. Hope this helps.

Sorry ArticZap but, The viscolock differential is NOT switchable from 2wd to 4wd. That is unless Polaris forgot to put the switch on my RMK! The way this thing works is like this, when one wheel is slipping or spinning faster than the one with more traction, at this point the spinning wheel activates a pump within the differential that instantly (in theory) locks up the wheel that is not turning. Once the wheels are turning the same speed, it then reverts back to the standard type differential thus giving the easy steering capabilities enjoyed on the RMK.
