This is a very big deal, and we stand to lose a lot of riding areas if the Eco-***** get their way. Here's the links to the Blue Ribbon Coalition. Everybody should be on their e-mail alert list anyway. It costs nothing and lets us know what the Eco-***** are doing, and how to help stop them.

*** BLUERIBBON ALERT *** BLUERIBBON ALERT *** BLUERIBBON ALERT ***

THE MAJORITY OF ROADLESS COMMENTS ARE COMING FROM OUR OPPOSITION!

Of the 37,000 comments received so far, 35,000 are form letters. Only 800 are opposed to the Clinton-Gore Roadless Rule or ask that it be significantly revised. Of the 1,655 substantive letters received, only 200 support revision of the rule.

WE MUST DO A BETTER JOB! We must tell the Forest Service to revise the Clinton-Gore Roadless Rule. We must generate more comments! Please visit BlueRibbon's website at http://www.sharetrails.org and click on the "BlueRibbon Coalition Rapid Response Resource Center" icon, then click on "Send Roadless Comments to Chief Bosworth Today" to launch an instant "clickable" letter to the Forest Service.

Please pass this alert on to all your contacts. Post it on your web pages. We must spread the word! Our goal is 30,000 response letters by August 30, and you can help!

For more information on the proposal, you can visit the Forest Service website at http://www.roadless.fs.fed.us/xcomments.shtml

If you decide to write your own letter, the address is:

USDA-Forest Service - CAT
Attention: Roadless ANPR Comments
P.O. Box 221090, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84122
roadless_anpr@fs.fed.us
Fax: 1-801-296-4090, Attention: Roadless ANPR Comments.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Adena Cook, Public Lands Director
BlueRibbon Coalition
Phone: 208-524-3062
Fax: 208-524-2836

*** END ALERT *** END ALERT *** END ALERT *** END ALERT ***

There are form letters and better yet, a direct link for original letters. If we can write about axles and tires and everything else,
we can certainly write a letter to protect our rights to ride on Public Land.

If you can write about shocks and jetting you can write about where you ride, and/or, your right to ride on public land. E-mail using the link or just click on the form letter.
It's going to really suck if this thing passes without revision. THIS WAS THE MAIN ISSUE IN THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
as far as quads, off-highway vehicles, right to ride on public land, recreation and public land etc. Clinton-Gore tried to take that away, and they are going to get it anyway if the people who use and enjoy our public lands don' get off their *** and do something!!

I am a Blueribbon Coalition member. I believe that if you are an ATV enthusiest, YOU TOO SHOULD BE A MEMBER. Join the fight.

I'm busy with work and all the other things that occupy my time, but I finally got off my butt and wrote the letter.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Chief Dale Bosworth,

I am writing you today to express my concern over the Roadless Initiative and the impact that it may have to the many people in this country who enjoy recreating in our national forests. I believe the Roadless Initiative was a political maneuver by the previous administration and does not represent the true wishes of the American public.

Our national forests can and should be preserved. But I don't believe that this should be done by sealing off our forests through the use of this vague rule. There are many historic mining trails in my home state of Colorado that are enjoyed by many OHV'ers that have been in place for more than a century and my understanding that under the new RI classification, access to these trails could be limited. My wife and I, and the clubs that we are associated with, are responsible stewards of our national forests. We all want to leave our forests in a pristine condition for generations to come.

I encourage you to support a revision to the roadless initiative to ensure continued multi-use access to our national forests.

Thank-you,

Jewell Anderson

Guys the last day is today. Send letters for your family, your friends, even your pets. It's not hard. A couple of minutes. We need all the letters we can get.
