Just a friendly post.
Getting tired of the "MY QUAD CAN BEAT UP YOUR QUAD" crap.
We all started somewhere, had a ton of fun on it, and I bet it was funny looking.
I'll admit it, my first ATV was an old used Sears 3-Wheeler.
The one with a tiny front tire and chopper forks. It had no suspension and was powered by a tired Briggs&Stratton 5 horse.
It would go about 15 MPH, or 16 if you reached back and held the governor wide open.
I'm not going to say how many years ago that was, but I did have a Star Wars T-Shirt on.
What was your first ride?

The first that I owned was a 94 400L. I loved that machine. That thing was faster than Chuck Yeager, climbed trees, pulled mountains and forged oceans! lol It really was a great machine for me. I told my buddies, "The only way I'll ever get rid of this quad is if I replace it with a bigger, better Polaris." That explains the 98 Bigboss 6x6 I now have.

How I got hooked? Well, as a kid our dad wouldn't let us have motorcycles and such. "Too dangerous!" Actually, we couldn't afford them anyway. But when I was about 14-15, my oldest sister and her boyfriend (now husband) used to take me with them riding 250R 3 wheelers. Since I grew up in Southwest Michigan, we used to go to Silver Lake Dunes alot. That was so awesome. I couldn't get enough. So here I am, 32 years old, currently owning my 2nd and 3rd wheelers and can't imagine ever being without one again. Fortunately, our trails aren't all being closed here in Alaska yet. I'd like to ride in the lower 48 again someday so don't let them close all the trails!

My dad bought me a 5hp mini bike when I was 11 yrs old. After that,I went to dirt bikes.Than in 1983,I worked at a U-Haul garage and we use to rent the 3 wheelers out.I took one for a ride and thats what sparked my interest.I bought a 3 wheel Kawi back in 1983,than in 1986 I purchased my first 4 wheeler. It was a 87 Suzuki 4x4 Quadrunner.Been on 4x4s since.

I was about 8 when we got the Sears 3-Wheeler. After that we got a Briggs&Stratton Mini bike. When I was 10 a Honda 70 Dirt bike with a 4 speed. It was slow as a turtle but fun. Then a Yamaha 100 YZ, raced it for one season in the UP Michigan circuit. Then a Yamaha 250IT. Rode my grampas Honda BigRed 3-Wheeler a lot, and my friends 175 Yamaha 3 wheeler. Had a Katana 600 untill last month, sold it because it wasn't getting ridden any more.
All in all, I'm completely hooked and will always have a toy or 2.
Helps me keep my sanity.

I am 15 at the moment-- When I was in 6th grade we got a Foreman ES, when the ES was new to the industry. 2 years after that I got my first manual clutched machine, a 250x. I rode that for about a year, and my dad bought 2 400EX's to go to the dunes. Well, not just to go to the dunes, you know what I mean. He would have been riding the 250X while I was on a 400EX. He just couldn't handle that. And no, its not like I begged, please daddy please, he wanted to buy them. Because its somthing we both can enjoy.

It all started when I was about 9 or 10. My dads friend owns 180 acres in Noble County, Southern Ohio. His buddy had and old Honda ATC 110 sittin there in the barn that he picked up for like $300 about a year before that. I was introduced, and, well I guess you could say love at first sight? haha Well after riding around a noticing how much fun it was, I was soon asking my dad to come down to southern Ohio more often. So, we did. He loved it too. When I was about 13, I began begging for a quad. Everyday he would always hear something about a four wheeler at least 5 times. I got a job when I was 14, and within a little while I was able to save up enough. I am 15 now, and can't see myself ever without an ATV.
