Camo Clad Use???
#1
I was wondering if anyone has used that Camo Clad adhesive back camo tape? My dealer has a set new of yellow body panels that he will geive me at a really good price. My 500 HO is green and green gets scratched really eay. I am thinking about camo covering the green and buying the yellow body and stickers for the non hunting season. Just wanted to know how easy it is to apply. There is a company that has the stuff already cut to apply to a polaris.

I use my wheeler for hunting too. My method of camo is to dive into a really big mud hole and get my quad completely cover and let it dry. Not the best camo in the world but, it really does a great job. When in begins to fade then I just give it another treatment. At the end of hunting season then I just give it a really good bath and buff.
As for using the tape or addhesive camo, never tried it so I can't help you out their. But if you are willing to change your plastic back and forth, Then I would say, what does it matter how good it it looks as long as it does the job. I don't think the wildlife is going to say, "WOW, that guys camo on his four wheeler looks like crap."
I don't meen to offend. So don't take it that way. I have seen a couple of wheelers done this way and it looked fine. One guy just threw it on and the other guy spent about a day on it and both looked just fine and in both cases it served its purpose. It isn't something that you have to spend alot of time doing to make it look good because its just camo, not a showroom finish.

If you are only gonna use it for hunting, why don't you just get a few rattle cans of greens and browns and black, and spray it yourself. All your doing is breaking up the outline and dulling the shine. My neighbor did his own grizz this way with a few stencils from a craft store and about a half a days work and it looks really good. Way cheaper than tape.
