How long will the brakes last on my Scrambler?
#1
Ok..I have a 500 4x4 Scrambler. I ride in creek bottoms, mud holes, dusty trails, and soon too be sand dunes. I was just wondering how long you guys and gals thought the brakes would last. And also how hard will it be to change them? Thanks any help would be welcome.

Hey OhioScramm,
My front pads last a little longer than my rears do. My rears last about a year. If you ride in mud alot, expect to change them more often. Especially the rears. As far as changing them...it's no problem. Whenever you need to change them, I can scan the page on the repair manual for you.

I don't spread that I'm Amos's personal "Flunky" because I have enough work to do. It started with one of his 91 250 trailboss's, then another, then the 90, then the 89 Suzuki LT125, then the, then the, then the........... Do you see where this is going. I do, I'll never get to ride - I'll always be working on a unit & never get to ride. Talking about riding, we set a date of Oct. 11th, 12th & 13th for a KY trip. We gotta get one more in before Christmas.
We're riding at Long's on Friday if you able.
