The Weight In Wisconsin Is Over
#1
From the Polaris website:
(Minneapolis, MN, September 19, 2001) - Wisconsin Governor Scott McCallum signed a bill that increases the legal state maximum weight for ATVs from 650 pounds to the new legal limit of 900 pounds. The new bill is wonderful news to the ATV industry, ATV enthusiasts, and to every Wisconsin Polaris dealer. Previous to the passing of this new bill, numerous ATV models from more than one manufacturer have been unable to be registered in the state of Wisconsin.
The new weight regulation takes effect immediately, and new registrations of ATVs weighing more than 650 pounds will be accepted at state licensing facilities and through the sales of new Polaris ATVs.
All Polaris ATV models, including the new 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin, are eligible for state registration in the state of Wisconsin.
