Bleeding brakes.

Start with the rear. On the caliper you will see a little thing that looks like a zerk, but isn't. This is the bleeder valve. Have a friend squeeze gently on the brake handle while you loosen this valve. You should see fluid start to ooze out. When the lever bottoms out agains the handlebar, have your friend hold it there until you can snug up the valve. If you saw ANY bubbles at all, do this repeatedly until no more appear. Be sure to keep topping off the reservoir, because if you pump in air from the top, you will have to start all over again.
Repeat for each front caliper, and the foot brake if it is hydraulic, too.
As a rule of thumb, always start at the brake farthest from the master cylinder.
