good price for a

hi my dad is looking a a 2000 sportsmen 500 it has been rolled once and fixed my the dealer and the guy told him to make an offer cause he is a little scared to ride it again so what do you think would be a fair offer the man that is selling it only used it about 5 times before rolling it and once after not sure of what all it has on it i know a gun rack and i am sure all the other that come standard on one and suggestion would be a great help

Depends on the damage, and if everything is OK now! Look for things that may have been bent underneath and not repaired! I know a new Sportsman 500 lists for $6999, so a two year old, if everything is in like new condition, I would probably offer maybe $4500. Should be a good deal for your dad, but, ride it and check out ALL the mechanics first! I have read that some people have had problems with the front hubs disengaging properly when you shift out of fourwheel drive. Make sure that part works well. Good luck. Jim
