hi i have had problems keeping my chain tight it stays tight for one or two rides and i check it before i ride but it always seem to get loose in the middle of a ride is there any trick to retightening it in the woods and if not how bad is it for you to ride back to the truck with it loose

 

Are you using a torque wrench when you tighten the bolts in the first place? If you are only using a ratchet you may not be getting them tight enough.

 

yea i use it when i tighten the chain at home and it stays tight for a few rides and i notice it loosening up while i ride

 

How new is the chain? New chains stretch pretty bad when you first use them. I had to tighten the chain on my Blazer after every ride or two for the first few months. Now it is pretty stable, I don't tighten it nearly as often anymore.

 

yea the chain is the secound one for this fourwheeler but i put it on at the beging of the summer so i firgured it would be done stheching so how often do you think a heavily used chain would need to be tightened

 

My chain hasn't stretched that much. I have had my machine since July. Since then I have have only need to tighten it twice. I guess it depends how much you ride. I am truly a "Weekend Warrior!"
