I originally went with the Dynoport pipe/silencer.I later sent it back to Dynoport because the owner,Rich lied to me about its sound output and performance. It was a long 3 month battle between Dynoport and my credit card company, but I WON and he was ordered to take his POS pipe back.I now run a modified PSI pipe w/stock Scrambler silencer and this pipe hits SO much harder than Dynoports. My caution flag should have gone up when Dynoport said you did not have to re-jet his pipe?Any pipe that does'nt require re-jetting,does'nt really give very much more performance to an engine. There is a night/day differance between the pipe im running now and Dynoports. The PSI pipe was worth the 300 bucks.

The reed spacer and Delta V-Force reeds was a waste of money at 149 bucks. No noticeable gains here. The engine did seem to idle a little better.

The Heel Clickers clutch kit was also a HUGE waste of money.I allready had a Hot Seat clutch kit installed, and I switched over to the HC kit on the advisement of my Polaris mechanic. With installation, this kit was 315 dollars. What a WASTE of money. If you dont allready have a clutch kit and install this kit yourself, its a good deal. But the differance between the Hot Seat kit that I allready had installed and the Heel Clickers is VERY LITTLE,if any at all?

The RcR airbox mod for 35 bucks was worth every penny. It came with a Uni Filter.

My best investment was the Good Year MudRunners on all 4 corners.

I don't know where to begin. I have added so many things and taken many things off of it. I have added a highlifter lift kit, durablue wheel spacers, highlifter 26" outlaws, itp chrome steel wheels, savant stick stoppers, did x ring chain, sidewinder front 11 tooth sprocket, sidewinder steel rear 42 tooth rear sprocket, hot seat performance clutch kit, hot seat steering bushing, hot seat steering post, moose shockwearers, removed all stickers and decals, goodyear powerstreak belt, warn 2500lb winch, double tube bumpers front and rear, polaris rear diamond kote toolbox, 2 rockford fosgate 5 1/4" speakers, pioneer detachable face cd player, marine cd player mount, antannae, head shaved, ported and polished cylinder, boyeson carbon fiber reeds, kehihn 39mm pwk carb, k&n filter, custom airbox for air intake snorkle, belt intake and exhaust snorkle, 2 100 watt driving lights, cup holder, custom skull shifter, black seat cover, polaris windshield, kimpex handguards, extended mud fenders, hpd exhaust, removed oil injector, oil injector block off plate, msa spark arrestor muffler, trailer hitch, wiseco .50 over forged piston, and lots of tow straps to pull out the honda's. I would say that the best thing that i have added was the tires, lift, and spacers. It amazes me and everyone that we ride with every time we go out. I can go more places than i could before. They are the best mud tires i have ever seen and are worth every penny.

Gee, I feel kind of left out here. Nothing much done to mine.
White primary spring
Uni filter
both good mods for the money

As far as add-ons I have

A trailer ball (pull a trailer that weighs up to about 1000# loaded)
and 2 RAM universal ball mounts, along with a RAM walkie-talkie/GPS holder, and a RAM universal pistol holster mount.
The RAM mounts are very sturdy, and do their respective jobs well, but the GPS holder could have used better assembly instructions.
The RAM mount consists of a 'ball' that you leave permanantly clamped to your handlebar or rack, and various attatchments that use a 'socket' to clamp to the ball at almost any conceivable angle. I thought the vibration from driving or going over bumps would jar it loose, but so far everything stays in the position I clamp it in.

Yes I have very few mods to the actual bike, but I DO have over 5200 miles, with only a belt, 2 $9 bushings, outer tie rod ends, and a couple spark plugs as my only 'repairs'.

If you have a little play in you steering when you turn left to right and tire rods are loose what you all need to change??? Whats the best brand also? I have some play in my steering and tir rods are loose. Also you dont need to re-align when u put on new tir rods do you?

It is either the tie rod ends, or the center steering bushing. Have a friend wiggle the bars while you look or feel for where the looseness is. If it is in the center bushing, you may get a little more life out of it by tightening the center nut a litte (works if it is just starting to get loose).
If it is the tie rod ends, you will need to either order new ones from your dealer or you could go with industrial aftermarket ones.
Check out the post marked tie rod ends. There will be all the info you need, including part numbers, and the 'how-to' rundown. And yes, you will need to check the alignment if you replace tie rod ends. It really isn't as tough as it seems. Just be sure to remember the OUTER tie rod ends are LEFT hand threaded, so you turn the rod end and lock nut the right way.

Hi fellow Xplorers. All my mods are listed below except my Craig stereo cassette,2 pioneer 150 w and 2 40 w speakers.

I was just wondering if you guys were to win a new xplorer and 1000 bucks to put on performance mods what would you add on.If you go over the 1000 a little it's alright.I'm asking this because i have already wasted money on my piece of crap clutch kit and don't want to get screwed anymore.

Thanks alot just wanted to know(and i'm sure i'm not alone) what is the best bang for the buck.See ya.

Well its not much but here goes:
-Wiseco piston bored .020 over
-Clutch kit(don't know brand, was on there when I bought the bike)
-K & N filter
-25" Bearclaws
-Power supply(cig. lighter)

As far as what I would add for $1000, well I'm not real sure of the prices but here are a few things.
-Warn 2000# winch
-Rack Extenders
-Handgaurds
-Bag racks
-Pipe
-26" Vampires
-Lift kit
-Bumpers
-Bore to .060(maybe??)

But I probably won't do any of those things since the bike is for sale, need the money, its time to move out of my parents place......freedom at last!!!!
