I'm "ignorant" and need some advise.

My neighbor is selling his 1990, 250 2x4 Polaris with mounted snowplow. Both units are in excellent condition, it has been stored inside all the time and only used for snow removal.
New battery, lights, etc. and has just been "tuned up".
He's asking $1050.00 (US)

He misplaced the manual(s).
My question is......What "model" is it considered?

I think that eventually all Polaris quads will either be called "Sportsman" or "Scrambler". Their marketing department must have worked overtime on those names.

Since you said it has a snowplow, I will have to say it is a Trail Boss as well.

Is it White with a red rack on the back? If so then Trail Boss.

Cruiser.......
The machine is red with grey fenders, red rack front and back.

Since the machine is in such good shape, I bought it non-the-less.
I already have a lawn tractor with a snow blower and did not need the ATV plow. Sold it (plow)for $150 buck so the machine has now only cost me $900.

Still want to know, did I pay a fair price?

I would say a very good price. I just sold a 1985 Honda four-trax 250 2x4 all original for $1500.00 Still had original tires from 85'. I'd say you got a good deal.

Yes, it is a Trail Boss. I am still guessing it is the Trail Boss 250. My step dad has the 350 4x4 version of that machine...same colors too.

All 1990 Polaris quads were called "Trail Boss." If they had 6 wheels they were Big Bosses. 2WD, 4WD, 250cc, 350cc it doesn't matter. It's a Trail Boss.
