It is not made with reeds. But HPD sells a reed conversion kit for the TB know. You just have to send them your head in and they will do the rest. Not sure what the price is though. Hope this helps you out.

Its not made with reeds. It has a piston port head.
HPD makes a reed conversion kit that converts it to
a reed cage head. The complete kit goes for $1379.95
dollars. The price is alittle high but if you want to
pep up a TB then go with a pipe and clutch. A pipe will
cost you about $250.00 and a clutch kit about $85.00
dollars. RCR and HPD both have web sites and all the stuff
that you will need.

You can get just the Race Mod Kit that does not include
the reed conversion. It cost about $800 dollars.
The Reed Conversion Kit is the race mod kit plus the
reed converted head and a few other things.
It cost $1379.95 dollars.
X_scrambler3 has the race mod kit on his bike and has its
weight down under 300lbs. It would be interesting to see
how it would compare to a reed converted bike!

What other things does that race mod kit come with? Can you just buy the reed conversion kit without all of the other things? If so how much does it cost?

The race mod kit is:race mod porting
bore cylinder 1 size
wiseco forged piston
race mod head
pipe w/muffler
clutch kit
head gasket kit

I don't think the reed cage conversion is for sale by itself.
You would have to call HPD and talk to Darrell.

When I had the raceporting done I asked about the head work if needed an he said yes other wise don't get the raceporting cause they work together to get the results. To make a comparison right now my TB will beat easyly an Warrior an a 300ex an blaster in a 100' run I know it will cause that is about how long the starting run is in MX racing at our track here in brainerd. I do beat the modded ones to just not by as much. I also got the hole shot at another track that was sandy an longer start. I wish had the funds to get the reedcage done to see the diffrance in it. Im thinking will get the 35pwk carb im still in the air on the pipe cause mine is a topend pipe an HPD's is a medrange pipe.
