I have a 97 Sport 400. A needle bearing came loose in the bottom of the motor and now my motor is toast.I am considering buying a Scrambler 500. I would like to know if most of my parts would interchange. Especially the transmission. And also what year did Polaris come out with the concentric drive and the H.O. on the 500 Scrambler?

What year is your SC500? 2WD or 4WD?

Concentric drive started on '99 models, although I think '98 SC400 4X4 may have had it? I believe the HO 500 started '99 as well.

If your SC500 is newer than '99 I don't think any major parts from the 400 will fit the 500, IE: tranny, suspension, electronics. The linkage, suspension travel and a ton of others parts were improved between those years.

i was wondering , i need a pair of head lights (the whole things not the bulbs) you want to sell me your pair?

before you scrap it, call around to some junk yards. see if they have any motorcycles with good engines. for a few hunderd $ you could slip a 500, 600, 750cc 4 stroke in your frame. just a thought...
