Polaris Trailblazer or Scrambler 400 2x4???
#1
I am new to the forum, but have been an active ATVer for the past fifteen years, and I currenty own a few 400 Xplorer's. I want a nice light sporty 4wheeler to sligtly modify. I am not sure what I want to buy? I like the Trailblzaer's low cost and simpleness, but the Scrambler has much more power. What do you guys think I should do? I am thinking the Trailblazer will be plenty quick? Also what speed kit would you recommend for both 4wheelers? I have never ridden the Trailblazer, but how fast is it compared to a Xplorer 400? Thanks!

the 250 will get eaten alive by your 400's, its like comparing teh mojave to the prairie 650, lol,
get the scram 400, or buy a used 4x4, its only a few lbs heavier, and you can go everywhere you did with your explorers, and no worrying if damn, will i need 4x4 in that mid pit? the scrambler will eat the 250

I have two TB's, a 99 and a 00. The top speed is between
48-50. So it won't be near as fast as your 400's.
Mods will help but if you have the cash for a 400 scrambler
then you might as well get it.
But just remember this! If you are out on your 400's and
you get roosted by a red/white TB and you can't
figure out why you can't catch it.
It was me! On a REED CONVERTED TB HE!HE!HE!

I noticed that you said light, sporty ATV, I don't think I would call either of those light by any standards unless you are comparing them to the big honking 4-wheel drive polaris machines. There does seem to be alot more mods that you will be able to do to the 400 than the 250. The 400 can be a real screamer but it isn't light at all (somewhere around 500lbs). Just my $.02
